Obituary

If you'd like to view Dad's official obituary, it is printed today in the Deseret News.

You can try this link: http://www.legacy.com/DeseretNews/Obituaries.asp?Page=LifeStory&PersonID=123953363

or you can go to deseretnews.com and click on the 'obituaries' tab on the right of the screen.

There is a place to leave comments there, but we are continually checking comments here as well.

Thanks for all the expressions of love and condolence. We're all 'hanging in there', as Dad would say.

  4. There is no one like our brother, and I often said that to Tim. You knew his capacity to love was more than you learned to do in this life. He carried such a warmth and concern for all human-kind, animals and even plants. I will always cherish the trip we took at Thanksgiving time to Blanding. He spoke of his love for Geri and all of you kids and of course HIS PERFECT GRANDS. HE HAD SUCH A WONDERFUL TIME TRAVELING, HE CHERISHED HIS TRIPS WITH BEAR AND HE LOOKED FORWARD TO MANY MORE. He wanted to drag along Tim and I on another trip to the Dakota's so we could see the plants etc. But whereever I go or whatever I do I will see his sweet smile and feel that he loves me and I will be ok and maybe look a little clearer and feel a little deeper and love life a little more. He was a gift to us for too short of time. Love Aunt Gail and Uncle Tim

  5. ANDREA, JEN,BEN OR RACHEL WOULD IT BE POSSIBLE TO GET A COPY OF THE LETTER READ BY ANDREA WRITTEN BY YOUR DAD AT THE FUNERAL? IT WAS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL THING THAT I HAVE HEARD IN A LONG TIME.
YOUR DAD SHOULD HAVE WRITTEN A BOOK. I WANT YOU TO KNOW THAT I ALMOST WAS NOT GOING TO GO TO THE FUNERAL BECAUSE TWO YEARS AGO ON FEB 7TH MY SON DIED OF CANCER ALSO. IT HAS BEEN VERY DIFFICULT FOR ME TO FACE ANYTHING LIKE A FUNERAL. I HOWEVER, AM MOST THANKFUL THAT SOME PEOPLE AT WORK TALKED ME INTO GOING. IT WAS ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL FUNERALS I HAVE BEEN TO. I DON'T KNOW IF YOU REMEMBER WORKING WITH ME IN THE RECORDERS OFFICE FOR A SHORT TIME. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE WONDERFUL WORDS OF WISDOM. I WISH ALL OF YOU MUCH PEACE AND COMFORT TO BE IN YOUR LIVES. YOUR FATHER WAS A GREAT MAN. IF YOU DON'T WANT TO PART WITH A COPY OF THAT LETTER I WILL ALSO UNDERSTAND. WISHING YOU THE BEST IN THE DAYS TO COME.
