DAY 6, FRIDAY
Today holds nothing but bad news. The bili did go down again but the dr said that the bili going up and down shows no pattern of steady anything and so it is not helpful. His kidneys are still not producing any urine. The dr rubbed on Dad's sternum and pinched him and Dad did not respond. The dr said that coma patients even respond to that. So what that means is that Dad's brain function is gone. Mom says that he just moans all day. He is on pain meds and is comfortable, as far as anyone can tell. They will do the last day of dialysis tomorrow and then re-asses (actually, Andrea, the correct way to spell that is reassess....thanks for the stomach laugh) the situation. I believe that the situation is grim.

Yes, we needed that little chuckle, Jeff would get a real bang out of that. We called Grandma and she was feeling better and wanted Palmer to bring her up, but I worry about Jeff not really being there and her seeing how bad he looks, He is still her baby you know.
