Dialysis started today which will clean out Dad's blood and help his kidneys and heart (which are both suffering). Bili count was the same today as yesterday and that is GOOD.
Dialysis will be done again tomorrow if needed....we just wait and see what happens after treatment today.
The Doctors are hopeful so we have science on our side!
Dad is alert but not thirsty or hungry.
A physical therapist was in this morning to help Dad get "up, down, touch the ground". Just kidding. Dad stays in bed and bends his legs, etc....just simple but helpful stuff.
Mom said, "So we're still waiting but at least we're not waiting for him to die." And we couldn't have said it better ourselves!
P.S. Jenn, if my lack of detail makes you feel slightly uncomfortable in any way, feel free to delete - delete - delete and work your detail-oriented-magic.

Dear Jeff, Jeri, Andrea, Jenn, Rachel and Ben (and families),
ReplyDeleteI love you and wish there were words that could really convey my feelings. Thank you for all the wonderful memories you have given us. Jeri, I know this is perhaps hardest for Jeri. Jeff, how ironic that having to lay around all day could be so hard - and watching you do that be even harder! I have all your names on the temple prayer roll and wish there was something I could DO. I am anxious to hear what tomorrow brings. Love to you all, Aunt Shelly
