Dad had a good night, relatively. Mom said he was breathing better, and was able to sleep well, so she slept too.
Some of the treatments (not sure which yet) are starting to work because Dad has been urinating and has had bowel movements (he's such a personal guy, he'd be mortified if he knew that was public knowledge, but it IS something to celebrate right now).
He's very confused this morning, which they think is still the ammonia. He doesn't know why he is in the hospital, and has apologized to mom for being goofy.
No updates from docs yet, but I feel better about the progress.

Jeff,
ReplyDeleteI just heard the news about your health. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time. It was obviously sad to hear this news. I have great memories from my time in the old Lakeridge 14th Ward with you and your family. I especially appreciated your efforts to take us Young Men to do Baptisms at the Jordan River Temple, followed by a trip to the Malt Barn for some of the finest shakes I've ever had. Good times. It appears from Jenn's latest blog post that some of your treatments may be working and we take great comfort in that. We pray that trend continues and hope to see a many more good posts like on Jenn's blog.
